All of our tile is made from Maine Blue Clay, excavated from our back yard, hand processed, cut from slabs rolled by hand, finished with glazes all handmade as well.

Welcome to the New Blue Clay Tile works. We are so excited to begin this adventure & so glad you are here with us from the start. We’ve been working with Maine Blue Clay for many, many years now, adding tiles to what we Already do is both a natural extension of our daily creativity as well as a huge new addition and road yet taken.
We love the feeling that handmade tile gives as part of a room, the emotion it illicits as the backdrop of someone’s day.

Please note- we focus on emails and phone calls Mondays and Thursdays, the rest of the time we are producing in the shop, our hands usually covered in clay, glaze, or both. We do our best to respond to all requests within the week they’re sent.

Current Shapes- we could take these shapes and start cutting tiles for you today, we can also make custom, 3D printed cutters to match the size and shape you are looking for.

Do you have any current inventory?
Yes, we currently have a very limited inventory of the green and white glazes from the Water’s Run B&B project. We can ship you (or deliver?) the tiles you see on the show, but there isn’t a lot of either one of those glazes left and since they were custom for the show, we won’t be making that exact glaze again. (There will certainly be glazes that are very similar in the future.)
Get the tile in inventory before it’s gone, otherwise contact us about a custom project!
Do you do custom glazes, shapes, or sizes?
Yes, yes and yes. Let us know what you have in mind and we’ll work with you to make your project special.
There are additional one-time fees for custom work.
How do payments and shipping work?
We will send you a quote for your project once it is decided on. Payment for custom projects will be required upfront.
WE will send shipping costs with any quote.

Price listed is per the square foot, please order by the square foot. 
Our line of white subway tile is 7.5” x 2.75” after firing, when glazes in a mix of different white glazes we have.
Our green tile is made from a custom blend of oxides, then dipped at varying thickness, creating variance across each tile that ranges from almost black to hints of blue.
